「つむぐつなぐうんぜん」は雲仙市の今を切り取り、発信するウェブマガジンです。
運営は雲仙市出身・在住のA-notesが不定期に行います。
“Tsunagu Tsunagu Unzen” or “Spin Link Unzen” is a web magazine which delivers you what is happening in Unzen now. This web magazine is organized by a writer “A-notes” who lives in and is a native of Unzen and published irregularly.
What A-notes wants to deliver to you
長崎県の南部、島原半島の入り口に位置する雲仙市はおよそ４万人が暮らす小さなまちです。私もこのまちの中心に位置する吾妻町で生まれ育ちました。私の友人や知り合いはほどんどが市外や県外へ出て活躍しています。残念ながら、人口減少や少子化といった問題は、雲仙市も渦中の自治体の１つです。母校の小学校は私たちが通っていた頃の5分の１まで児童数が減っていて、小浜町のように観光で賑やかな町でも小さな小学校は閉校が続いています。
もしかすると皆さんの知らない間に、懐かしい風景や場所がなくなっていることもあるかもしれません。私自身、幼い頃遊んでいた実家の畑が基盤整備でガラッと変わり、夕日が綺麗だった方角は、大きな道ができて風景が変わりました。
これからこの雲仙市がどのように変化し、何が変わらないのか、雲仙市を知らない人はもちろん、県外や市外で活躍する雲仙市出身の皆さんにも届けたいと思っています。
Located in the southern part of Nagasaki prefecture and is the entrance of Shimabara peninsula, Unzen city is a small city which has only 40,000 population. I was born and grown in Azuma town in the middle of the city. Many of my friends are working and living in other cities, some of them are even out of the prefecture. Unfortunately, decline of population and birthrate is the problem that is held by Unzen city as well as by many other cities all around the country. The elementary school which I graduated has only one-fifth kids of the number of my childhood. Even in lively looking towns like Obama town , which is a hot spring resort, are closing down small elementary schools.
Good old sceneries or places that you were fond of might have disappeared before you know it. It happened to me too. My father’s potato field where I used to play with my sister had an infrastructure development and a new road cut through it now. It has obstructed the great view of sunset form the potato field.
“Tsunagu Tsunagu Unzen” delivers what is changing in Unzen and what has been kept the same in Unzen to people who are natives of Unzen and people who do not even know Unzen.
What is newly coming. What should be kept the same.
市町村合併で７町が１つになって約10年。大きな時代の流れにともない、なくなっていくものもあれば、新しく生まれたものもあります。なくなっていくものはどんなものであっても、誰かの思い出の１つかもしれません。生まれていくものはこれから誰かの思い出になるものかもしれません。できるだけその１つ１つを紹介して、未来に残していきたい。
幸い雲仙市は、ここに住む人の生き方に惚れ込んだ人や街自体に魅力を感じた移住者も多く、またその移住者を慕った人が輪を作るようにこの街に来てくれています。一次産業で頑張る人たちも、若者が生活ができるようにと農業で食べていける基盤を作って、子供たちが増えている地域もあります。人は減っていてもまだまだパワーはあると思います。
いつか皆さんが故郷・雲仙市に帰ってくることがあれば、どうか今の場所で培った力を地元の生かして欲しい。そんな微かな願いも込めて発信します。
Almost a decade has passed since the 7 towns in this area were united as Unzen city. As a big wave of the time flows, we have things went away and things coming up. The things went away might be someone’s precious memories. The things coming up may be someone’s precious memories. I “A – notes” want to leave them for the future by sharing them with you in this web magazine.
Luckily, Unzen city has some migrants who attracted by the way of living of natives and the city itself. And they rally new visitors. The native farmers keep the base of life for young people to live on agriculture. So, the birthrate is increasing in some areas. Depopulation is still there but they seem to have much power to survive this tough time.
To the natives of Unzen who live in other places now, when you come back to your home town Unzen, I’d like you to give Unzen the feedback from your experiences in your current place. That is my little wish with writing this web magazine.
